Students and faculty have always recognized how hard it is to succeed academically in medical, dental, or graduate school. In earlier generations, the profession assumed that this success would come at a personal cost that students just had to deal with. That cost might include depression, insomnia, loss of physical fitness, and that combination of depersonalization and cynicism that we call burnout. We now see that cost as unacceptable, and unnecessary.
The medical, dental, and graduate schools are committed to helping students navigate personal challenges, maintaining and building physical health and psychological resilience… and finding not just survival but joy in their years here. We invite you to explore this site, find the offerings that speak to you, and join your peers in trying them out.
Husky Bowl
Monday, September 8, to Friday, September 12, 2025
UConn Health’s annual Husky Bowl is an exciting, Olympics-style tournament that brings together members of the medical, dental, and graduate schools. Students can participate in a wide variety of events aimed at exploring different areas of wellness through friendly competition. Highlights from last year include a fast-paced trivia night, an iron-chef cook-off, and a spectacular soccer scrimmage. This year, we’re looking forward to even more exciting events for UConn Health students and faculty! Stay tuned!
